Sending addObserver to CPTextField causes the text field to render values incorrectly

This manifests as follows:
1) when CPTextField is first responder, both the original text and the text being entered get rendered (albeit at different offsets).
2) when CPTextField is no longer first responder, the text the user entered disappears, and only the original text is displayed. When the control becomes first responder again, the text the user entered displays again as described in (1).

Thanks for your bug report. Do you think you could provide us with sample code that illustrates this bug? You could upload a sample AppController.j here or more simply paste it on http://gist.github.com and link it here. It would definitely help to solve it quickly.

So I re-tested again with 0.6 and 0.7.
In the latter, things are working as I expect (so one could consider this a non-issue).
