Unable to install Cappuccino Tools
Reported by ronin-31137 (at lighthouseapp) | September 5th, 2008 @ 03:01 AM
After extracting CappuccinoTools-0.5.zip, I changed to the directory in the terminal, but the install script refused to run telling me that the "command was not found". I know the install script exists, so I'm assuming I don't have something the script requires to run. I'll post an update if I figure out what it is specifically that I don't have.
blktiger@17:46, ~$ cd ./Downloads/CappuccinoTools-0.5/ blktiger@17:47, ~/Downloads/CappuccinoTools-0.5$ ls Editors Frameworks README install-tools objj blktiger@17:47, ~/Downloads/CappuccinoTools-0.5$ sudo ./install-tools sudo: ./install-tools: command not found

Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.3). It is possible that maybe something is slightly off about my installation though.

Blacktiger: You may need to make the install-tools script executable first. Have you tried that?
chmod +x install-tools

I just tried that and still no dice. I also tried giving the script full permissions (chmod 777), but that didn't help either.

Should we change the instructions to say to do that then or what?

I've tried both sudo sh install-tools as well as sudo ./install-tools (after chmod a+x install-tools) as well as . Both seem to be working fine to me.
I say we put sudo sh install-tools as an option in the README as well. Also this command won't require chmod a+x.
