CPTextField placeholder functionality
Reported by Nick Takayama | October 10th, 2008 @ 04:24 AM
I've added code to make the placeholder text work in CPTextField, encompassing the following behavior:
When the CPTextField is first rendered, it displays the placeholder text
When the CPTextField becomesFirstResponder it removes the placeholder text, leaving a blank field (but if the textfield was previously assigned a different value it leaves it intact)
Calls to CPTextField stringValue: do not get the placeholder value, they receive an empty string
When CPTextField resignsFirstResponder and the field is empty, it repopulates with the placeholder text
Patch is attached to this ticket.
